Hearing Of Action Adjourned The hearing of tne 'action brought in the Supreme Court, Wellington, to settle the ownership of some of the contents of the Hotel St. George was continued for only a short time yesterday and then adjourned till Monday. Mr. Justice Ostler, who was on the bench, expressed the hope that a settlement would be reached by the parties before then. Plaintiff is Dominion Breweries, Ltd., Auckland, and defendant is Grand Central Buildings, Ltd.. Wellington. Defendant is owner of the Hotel St. George and plaintiff was lessee. The dispute Las arisen over the ownership of some fittings, including beer delivery plant said to have cost about £l5OO to install. Under tne terms of a five-year lease entered into in 1936 the owner of the building-was obliged Io buy the furniture, equipment and stock-in-trade of the hotel at the cud of its term. Plaintiff claimed £195/15/- for articles that, they claimed came within the definition, and asked the Court to declare that the owner of the building had to pay the lessee for the beer delivery plant. For defendant it was contended that the beer delivery plant had become part of the freehold. Mr T. P. Cleary appearing for plaintiff and Mr. F. C. Spratt for defendant.
