A.I.F. Casualties In Middle East CANBERRA, November 15. The Minister of the Army, Mr. Forde, announced that Australian Imperial Force casualties in the Middle East totalled 12,950. Details are: Killed in action, 83 officers, 1117 other ranks. Died of wounds, 18 officers, 354 other ranks. Died as prisoners of war, one officer and seven , other ranks. Wounded in action, 25S officers, 4305 other ranks. Wounded and missing, seven officers, 119 other ranks. Missing, 92 officers, 2294 other ranks. Missing, believed killed, seven officers, 86 other ranks. Missing, believed prisoners of war, 43 officers, ,985 other ranks. Prisoners of war, 124 officers, 2687 other ranks. Prisoners of war and wounded, eight officers, 216 other ranks. Not yet diagnosed, no officers, 39 other ranks. The total number of casuallies in the A.I.F. to September 25 in all theatres of war was recently given as 13,143.
