Wellington Championship Games Begin Saturday saw the start of the Wellington Baseball Association’s championship games for the 1941-42 season. The high wind made conditions unpleasant The surprise of the day was the defeat of last year’s champions, of champions, Broadway Demons, by the Miramar Aces team, 18-7. while the promoted Tasman League winners. O.P.T.’s, ran out the winners over Jenkins Gym. by one run after a close game. The main game at Lower Hutt resulted in another surprise, Hutt proving too good for Ford to the tune of 22-8.
