RAIN IN RANGES
MASTERTON, November 14. With a change to south-west in yesterday afternoon’s heavy wind, rain began to fall in the ranges. Though little rain fell throughout the day, several of the rivers in the district, more especially in the southern Wairarapa, showed rises. Some rivers rose to Hood heights, and though no further rain has fallen in the plains, falls continue in the ranges, with resulting fluctuations in the river levels.
