Sales In New Zealand YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS Dealings in stocks and shares recorded on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday were as follows, the'number of shares in each lot being shown iu the case of Wellington; —

Amal..,Wireless Profit Net pfolit' of Amalgamated Wireless (Australasia), Limited, for the year ended June 30 was £133,089, against £133.279. Revenue increased by £6b,az» to £870,197. Dividend is unchanged at per cent. Although output is higher, not more than 20 per cent, of the works production is now sold for civil use. North Canterbury Freezing Co. The accounts of the North, Canterbury Sheepfarmei's’ Co-operative I’ rcezing Export and Agency Company, Limited, show a net profit of £5723, against £ao3o for the year euded September 30. In addition, £6162 transferred to contingeneies in past years and proved not to be needed is brought into the appropriation account. Au unchanged dividend of a* per cent, on preference and ordinary shares is proposed, absorbing £4306, leaving £18,209 to be carried forward, against £10,630 brought in. Revenue was £29,251, compared with £28,322 a year ago, and £27,692 in 1939.

LONDON, November 13. The price of tin is quoted as follows: Spot, buyers £258/10/- a ton, sei ers £259; forward, buyers £261/10/-, sellers £-61/15/ . yohij, bjovember 13. Tin is quoted at 52.00 cents a lb. Gold Mining Returns The Grey River dredge returned 1981 ounces for ’133 J hours from 94.079 yards for the week ended November 12. The Maori Gold return totalled OOoz. 14dwt. for ,118 hours from 10,000 yards. Victoria Laundry Year A net profit of £1367 is shown in the accounts of the Victoria Laundry Company, Limited, compared with £2324 last year, and £3123 in 1939. The dividend is maintained at 5 per cent., requiring £2368. Reserves stand at £5977, against £6977. The report refers to increased costs of wages and materials, and states that it has not been possible to pass on this extrs. burden by increased prices. Stock And Share Indices
