WEEKEND ACCIDENTS

Early on Saturday morning Trevor Kelly, a child living at 33 Birdwood Road, Lower Hutt, was scalded on bls neck by the upsetting of a jug of boiling water. He was taken to hospital and last night it was reported that an operation had been performed and his condition was satisfactory. J. Ryder, a soldier stationed at Trentham, fractured his right wrist in a fall in a Wellington street early on Sunday morning.

Yesterday morning Robert Cairns, a schoolboy. 1 Roxburgh Street, Petone. fell from a tree at Petone and received a severe .cut in his left thigh. About noon yesterday another boy, John Hickey, St- Patrick’s College-. Silverstream, broke his left leg when some ground on the top of a bank collapsed under him. Each of the injured persons was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
