WHY BADER BALED OUT
(Received October 19, 7 p.m.) LONDON, October 18. The legless pilot Wing Commander Bader, who is in an enemy prison, disclosed in a letter to his wife that he was not shot down, but baled out over France after a collision with a Messerschmitt. Bader had destroyed 22 °nemy planes.
