NEWTOWN TIGER CUBS
Three Survivors Growing Fast Now a month old, the three survivors of*the litter of live Royal Malayan tiger clubs born at the Newtown Zoo are reported to be doing well. No attempt w:rs made to rear two weaker cubs of the litter, on account of the youth of the tigress, but if she bears another large litter an endeavour will be made to ’rear all of them. For the first, time the cubs emerged from their den a week ago, induced to come out by a burst of bright sunshine. They were quite lively and strong and spent several hours in the open. They are now over IS inches long and are growing fast. News of the birth of the quintuplets at the Zoo travelled far, and the. Adelaide Zoo authorities have written seeking information about -weights and measurements of the cubs.
