ON behalf of the Fijian Government, the Public Service Commissioner invites applications from University Graduates with a degree in Chemistry, for the position of Assistant Government Chemist in the Fiji Administration. It is preferred that applicants should have bad about four years’ laboratory experience. Appointment would be on a temporary basis aud, subject to satisfactory service, would probably be continued for the duration of the war. An allowance for quarters of £5O per annum will be paid if the appointee is single, and £75 per annum to a married man accompanied by his wife. The commencing salary to a successful applicant with a Bachelor’s degree would be at least £255 per annum; with a Master's degree with First Class Honours at least £2BO per annum; but a higher salary may be allotted, depending on the successful applicant's qualifications and experience.
