Canada and other countries as well but the tliffieiilty experienced in this country is common in all countries. In a recent cable message our High Commissioner. Mr. Jordan, said silk stockings had been off the market in the United Kingdom for the past year. “We are a little better off for we are continuing our efforts to get additional silk stockings from abroad. It is only because we have the industry established iu New Zealand that we have any silk stockings at all.”
