Compiled by members of the N.S.W. Branch of the Economics Society of Australia and New Zealand, this book is one of a series being published by the society on economic problems arising from the war. It considers tbe various ways of raising money to finance the war, concludes that in the main this should be accomplished through taxation, analyses the present excess profits taxes, soundly condemns inflation as a means of war finance, but argues the desirability of some credit expansion when resources are relatively unemployed.
