GOODS BY RAIL \ Express Service Between Wellington and Auckland The new express goods service inaugurated this week (on 9th September) between Auckland and Wellington is scheduled to provide real express transit (city to city in only 18J hours) at ordinary goods freight rates. At both Auckland and Wellington the closing time for acceptance of consignments for the expresses is 10.45 a.m., the departure times from these centres being 11.45 a.m., and 11.40 a.m., respectively. Rail-freighters are urged to make the fullest use of this new convenient facility, thus assuring its retention as a regular , service.
