MISSING CORPORAL

Wife Receives Mail From Hospital In Greece Two letters from her husband, Corporal A. McKenzie, bearing the inscription of a German prisoner of war camp in Greece, were received yesterday by Mrs. McKenzie, 'B5 Riverside Drive, Lower Hutt. On May 28 he was officially reported missing mid subsequently wounded anil missing. Mrs. McKenzie had received no further advice of her husband till the arrival of his letters, which were dated May 6 and May 14, and written from "26th General Hospital, R.A.M.C., British Army, near Athens, Greece.” Corporal McKenzie reported that he had received a slight wound in the right thigh and was well on the way to recovery. At the time of writing he was in a Greek ’ hospital but expected to be moved later. He said he was doing quite well, but added: "I am awful-y hungry. I’d like some of mum s cakes right now.
