Vice-Regal. Government House, Wellington, September 9. This morning his Excellency the Governor-General, attended by Captain C. J. Sergeant G. M. Amner, R.N.Z.A.F., Napier, who has been serving with the R.A.F. in England, Malta, and Egypt for the past 16 months, and who recently returned to New Zealand, is now visiting Wellington.

Flying Officer H. S. Lusk, a son o. Mr. J. B. Lusk, of St. Andrew’s Road, Epsom, has been appointed senior control officer at an R.A.F. station in Wales, with the rank of flight lieutenant.

Hamilton, head office inspector of the State Advances Corporation, Wellington, has arrived at Christchurch to take over the management of the corporation’s Christchurch branch during the convalescence of Mr. F. Shaw, who recently underwent an operation. Canon W. S. Bean, Christchurch, will celebrate this month the sixtieth anniversary of his ordination by Bishop Harper in St. . Michael’s Church. Canon Bean was vicar of Addington from 1892 to 1933, a record of service in one parish in the Christchurch Diocese. He was ordained deacon on September 25, ISSI, and. priest in the Cathedral in September, 1883.
