The Chaytor Street rubbish tip, Wellington, the first really big tip in which the rubbish of the city has been treated on the Bradford plan, will be filled by the end of the present winter. Already another small tip is being developed in Northland, which will serve for three or four months till the new big tip off Wilton Uoad is ready to be operated. Preparatory work to that end is now in hand.
