R. Hoare Wins Time-Trial

The combined amateur cycling elubs of Wellington on Saturday conducted a time trial of 22 miles on the Island Bay course. Results: R. Hoare, 59.54, 1; V. Westbury, 60.2,2; H. Constable, 60.16 2-5, 3. Result of sealed handicap held in conjunction : R. Huxford (4min.), 58.51, 1; H. Constable (linin.), 59.16 1-5, 2. On Saturday next, the second of the series of the Hope Gibbons shield contest will be held on the Kaiwarra course and as only seven seconds separate the Poneke and Port Nicholson teams, much interest will attach to this race.
