The official figures of export killings at the Dominion’s freezing works from October 1, 1940, till May 3, 1941 as issued by the New Zealand Meat Iroducers’ ISotirtL show thut lunib killing’s have reached a total of 9,892,408, or 658,114 carcases above mat of the previous season. Ewe killings now show a decrease of 250,555 carcases compared with the previous season, the current total being 1,382,949. Wethers have declined by 623,805, the killings this season totalling 540,447. Porker killings (145,202 in the North Island, and 4791 in the South), total 149.993, showing an increase of carcases.
