"The Times” states that the way woman-power is swinging into the war effort is illustrated by the decision to train selected members of the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force as flight mechanics and riggers for R.A.F. squadrons, -enabling men to be released from the maintenance and repair crews. It is intended to experiment with the employment of women on the balloon barrages and the .skilled work of packing parachutes. It is also projiosed to employ women as instrument repairers, electricians and radio Operators
