Tlie Minister of National Service, Mr. Semple, sailed for Sydney by Hie Monterey at midday with a view lo co-operation with Hie Australian authorities in speeding up New Zealand s war effort. He was accompanied by Mr. Norman Hutchings, of tlie Pubhc Works Department, and Mr. J. T. "Waugh, private secretary.
