CAMPBELL.—On March 15, 1941, very suddenly, Alfred Varlow Campbell, of the Chantry House, Ripley, Harrogate, late of Grove House, Caistor, Lincolnshire, England.
CON.—On May 11, 1941, Wellesley Hughes, beloved husband of Elizabeth Cox, 8 Rossgrove Terrace, Mount Albert, and father of Miss M. E. Cox, Mount Albert; Mrs. W. K. Morton, Silverhope; Mrs. J. Raine, Karori; and Messrs. W. H. Cox, Wanganui; R. H. Cox, J. H. Cox, and T. N. Cox, Auckland. Aged 91 years.
HARDS.—On May 16, 1941, at Wellington Hospital, George Everett, dearly beloved husband of Frances Hards, and beloved father of Jean, Sybil, Joyce and Mabel, of 14 Ottawa Road, Ngaio; aged. 55 years.
MeCALMAN.—On April 15, 1941, killed in action, 5541 Pte. John Bernard (Joe), dearly beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. McCalman, Camberwell Road, Hawera; aged 34 years. R.I.P.
