“Britannia” Opens On Thursday

Rehearsals have proceeded so well that an outstanding production is assured, reports the produce!; of the spectacular revue. "Britannia," Mr. W. Lints. “Britannia” will begin a season of nine nights at the Opera House, Wellington, on Thursday, witli a cast, of over 500 performers. The revue contains twelve topical ballets, which include Wellington’s best dancing talent. There is also a wealth of comedy, including humorous sketches, 26 song, hits, and 28 solo leads. There are 700 costumes to be worn nt each uerformance.

For the opening performance only, it lias been arranged that the mayor, Mr. T. O. A. Hislop, will introduce the six Victory Carnival queens to the audience during the interval. The proceeds of "Britannia” are to be given by the Soldiers’ Civil Re-establishment League, which has arranged the production, to 'he Victory Queen Carnival funds.
