LABOUR CAUCUS
Economic Position Of Dominion The economic position of New Zealand arising from shortage of shipping, and methods of meeting tire crisis, were discussed at a caucus of the Parliamentary Labour Party yester day, according to an official statement. The meeting was held immediately before members dispersed after complet ing the business of the first part of the session. It was also announced that the Gov eminent party met on the first anniversary of the death of the late Prime Minister, Mr. Savage. Floral emblems were placed under a portrait of Mr. Savage, presented by the Wairekau branch of tire New Zealand Workers' Union. The portrait i: to be permanently placed in the Whips' room.
