Chinese Claim Victory Over Japanese BIG CASUALTY LIST (By Telegraph—Press Assn, —Copyright.) (Received March 28, 5.30 p.m.) HONG KONG, March 27. The Central China news agency reports today that fierce fighting in the Kiangsi province reached a climax in the recapture of Kaoan by Chinese troops. The struggle has cost the Japanese 20,000 casualties in the last two weeks. Quoting field reports from Chungking the agency declared that the Chinese were'pushing on from Kaoan toward the Yangtze River port of Nanchang, 50 miles to the north. Chinese artillery is reported to have heavily .shelled one contingent of Japanese troops retreating across the Chin. River, sinking many launches loaded with troops and supplies.
