Fair To Fine; Milder Temperatures
Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending at 3 p.m. today :— Weather.—Fair to fine, with moderate to mild temperatures. A few isolated showers still likely in the high country, however. General Situation.—The recent westerly depression has now Passed away to the east and an anticyclone, centred over south-eastern Australia, extcn s across the Tasman Sea on to New Zealand. Forecast.-—Winds: Westerly to south-westerly, force mainly moderate but freshening at times in and about Cook and Foveaux Straits. . j Seas (New Zealand waters) : Rather rough on th ‘*,X eS £, moderate a “ d Foveaux Straits, but moderating; elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate west to south-westerly winds freshening at times in the south Sea moderating, but a westerly swell continuing WELLINGTON DISTRICT FORECAST UP TO 6 P .M. TOD A westerly winds, freshening at times, leather fair to fine. Temperature milder.' Seas becoming moderate. FURTHER OUTLOOK. — Little change.
