LETTER TO ENGLAND’S PRIME MINISTER
The Wellington branch of the South African War Veterans’ Association recently sent a letter, signed by the president, Colonel F. B. Mabin, to the Prime Minister of England, Mr. Winston Churchill, congratulating him on the manner in which he was conducting the destinies of Britain during the difficult days of the war. The association has received a re-
ply from the Prime Minister’s officer at No. 10 Downing Street, London, reading as follows:— “The Prime Minister has received the letter which you sent him on behalf of the Wellington branch of the South African War Veterans’ Association and wishes me to convey to you and through you to the members of the association his warm appreciation of the terms of the letter of December 2.”
