fil.i.UilOt-'lth.V ICES I CHRISTADELPHIAN LECTURE ON BIBLE TRUTH (God willing) [ 0.0. F. HALL, ALLEN STREET SUNDAY, AT 7 P.M. Subject: “THE SIGN OF CHRIST'S PRESENCE” -WHAT SHALL BE THE SIGN OF THY PRESENCE (parousia) AND Oil THE END OF THE AGE’.'" (The Discipies to Jesus, Matt. 2-1:3). “• . AND THE POWERS OF THE HEAVENS (political) SHALL BE SHAKEN, AND THEN BIIALL APPEAR THE SIGN OF THE SON Oh MAN IN HEAVEN (the political) AND THEN SHALL ALL THE TRIBES Ol’ THE LAND MOURN.’’ (Jesus to His Disciples, Matt. 24:29-30). ■•Therefore the Lord Himself shall give yon a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel" (Isa. 7:14. .Mau. 1:23). The virgin birth constituted a ".sign'’ of Christs ■'presence’’ in the Holy Land at Ilia < lirwt coming; the Scriptures quoted , above reveal that likewise there will be a "sign” of Christ’s ••presence in the Holy land at His second coming. What will be the sign of Christ s "presence” in the Holy land at His second coming? All the present indications and anticipations are that the present war will be extended to '■ the Middle East and that Palestine ! will become involved. This antici- • pation is in definite accord with Bible prophecy which reveals that the Holy land will be the scene of a terrible conflict in “the latter days and that the armies of the anti-Jew-ish nations assembled there will be annihilated by Divine intervention ’ in rhe person of J ecus Christ returned to earth. (See Zech. 14:1-3, 1 and 12, Ezekiel chap. 38. Eze. 39: 1-16, Dan. 11: 40-45, Joel 3:1-2, Zech. 12:9-14, Isaiah 17: 12-14, Jer. 30:4-7). Thus this impending Divine overthrow in Palestine of Gog and all his company that are assembled unto him, will definitely indicate the "presence” (Eze. 38:20) in the Holy I Lund of the Lord Jesus Christ —it will be to the Scripturally enlightened THE SIGN OF CHRIST’S ' PRESENCE IN THE POLITICAL HEAVENS. Thus though today the days are dark, the darkest hour precedes the dawn, for the return of Jesus Christ will eventually, mean the establishment of the universal KINGDOM OF GOD upon earth and ’ "Glory to God in the Highest and on earth peace, goodwill toward tnen.” (see Luke 21 : 25-27, Acts 1:11. Acts 3:19-21. Matt. 6:10, Rev. 11:15, Dan. 2:44, Dan. 7:1.3-14, Zech. 14:9, Isa. 9:6-7, Acts 17:31. Pea. 72. Isa. 2. Isa. 11, Luke 2:14. Gen. 22:18, Numbs. 14-21). “FOR AS THE LIGHTNING COM- ’ ETH OUT OF THE EAST, AND SHINETH EVEN UNTO THE WEST; SO SHALL ALSO THE PRESENCE OF ’ THE SON OF MAN BE.” (Jesus, Matt. 24:27).
