CROPS IN CANADA
' WINNIPEG, March. 6.
The Grain Research Committee, after a three-day conference, recommended Western Canadian farmers to increase their corn, flax and barley crops as a substitute for wheat. An increase of 35.000.000 bushels in barley production will be required to feed the increased pig population needed to supply Britain with more bacon. Corn, flax and barley will take 1,250,000 acres from wheat.
