GOLF CONTESTS
Shandon Ladies’ Midweek Club. —A very successful opening day was held on Wednesday, when about 80 visitors and members took part in a fourball bestball competition. The winning cards were:—Mrs. Holden and Mrs. Esdalle (Hutt), 92-20-72; Mrs. Ryan (Shandon) and Mrs. Mucaskill (Shandon mid-week), 86-18-68. The Summer Cup was won-by Mrs. Macaskill, with 13 points. The first -L.F.U. medal round will be played on Wednesday next, commencing at 10 a.m. Players are to arrange their own partners.
