Appointments, Transfers And Promotions LONG LISTS PUBLISHED IN GAZETTE Long lists of appointments, promotions, transfers- and postings., of officers on active service with the Second New -Zealand Expeditionary .Force overseas were published in last night’s Gazette.

Brigadier E. Puttick, D. 5.0., A.D.C. to the King, has resumed command of the Fourth New Zealand Infantry Brigade as from January 8 last. Lieutenant-Golonel L. 11. Inglis, M.C., on relinquishing temporary command of the Fourth New Zealand Infantry Brigade is appointed to command the Infantry Training Brigade, and is promoted to be Brigadier. Major J. M. Allen is appointed to command the Thirtieth (Auckland) Battalion and promoted LieutenantColonel.

Major F. L. Hunt is appointed to command the Thirty-Second (Canter-bury-Otago) Battalion and appointed Lieutenant-Colonel.

Captain J. D. Cottrell is appointed Deputy Assistant Director of Medical Services.

Major F. J. Gwilliam is appointed to command ' the Twenty-seventh (Machine-gun) Battalion and pro moled Lieutenant-Colonel. Major (Temporary LieutenantColonel) S. F. Hartnell is appointed to command the Thirty-first (Wellington) Battalion temporarily. Captain (Temporary Major) R. H. Bell, Second New Zealand Divisional Cavalry, is appointed Deputy-Assistani Adjutant-General, vice Major A. B. Cockerell, who is appointed Brigade Major, Infantry Training Brigade. Major F. L. H. Davis is appointed Generhl Staff Officer, second grade Second <New Zealand Division, vice Major D. T. Maxwell, who is appointed General Staff Officer, second grade. Second N.Z.E.F. Base. ■ Major S. C. V. W. Sugden, Twentyseventh (Machine-gun) Battalion, is appointed to command the Base Reception Depot, Second N.Z.E.F., temporarily. Major I>. W. G. Speirs, Twentieth (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, is appointed to command a prisoner of war camp. Major A. A. Teunent is appointed to command Number 1 New Zealand Convalescent Depot, and is appointed Lieutenant-Colonel to complete the establishment of the New Zealand Medical Corps. Major K. W. R. Glasgow is transferred from the Fourth Field Regiment to command the Artillery Training Regiment and is granted the tern porary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Major R. W. Fenton is transferred from the Fourth Field Regiment to the Artillery Training Regiment as second in command. Major (temporary) F. W. Voelcker is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while commanding the Eighth Brigade Training Battalion.
