British Food Blockade Maintained
(British Official Wireless.) (Received March 5, 7 p.m.) RUGBY, March 4. Replying to a Parliamentary question, the Minister of Economic Welfare, Dr. Dalton, stated that there had been no change in the policy of the Government in regard to allowing ships from the United States to pass the blockade, carrying food for enemy-occupied countries in Europe. This question, Dr. Dalton added, like c-ther questions of common interest, had been discussed by the Ambassador in Washington with the United States authorities from time to time. The Minister stated that Germany several times announced ability, to supply all necessary foodstuffs to the population of countries occupied by her troops.
