An unknown vessel torpedoed the 5000-ton French ship Guilv'inet 170 miles from San Sebastian on February 19 A fishing* vessel landiM 22 survivors at Pasajes. Seventeen members of the crew, including the captain and the engineer, are missing, The Guilvinet was reported to be en route to Oran.
