NEWSPRINT SUPPLY
Further Consumption Cuts Made (Received March 4, 7 p.m.) LONDON, March 3. The Newsprint Supply Company at the Government’s request is substantially cutting consumption from March 16 and forecasts further cuts in the following three months. The present reduction will necessitate two fourpage and four six-page papers weekly for the penny dailies, instead of six six-page papers. Twopenny papers come down from 12 pages to ten per issue. The number of copies which each newspaper will t> e allowed to print will also be limited by the allocation of the weekly tonnage of newsprint.
