British Forces On Move, Says Gayda (Received March 4, 8.15 p.m.) LONDON, March 3. Signor Virginio Gayda, in- an article in the "Giornale d’ltalia,” says that Britain lias been bringing up great forces of arms and that during recent days British forces have been moving to various points in the Mediterranean, notably Salonika. The Rumanian Press declares that the main purpose of Mr. Eden’s talks in Turkey was permission for British warships to pass through the Dardanelles. The Berlin correspondent of the Stockholm “Aftonbladet” says it is declared that Greece has still a chance to obtain peace with honour. The terms suggested include retention by Greece of the Albanian conquests and the cession to Germany of bases in Greek territory which can be returned at the end of the war. Officials in Berlin stated that the march into Bulgaria was carried out according to plan and that all intended objectives were reached, but that they are not on any frontier, either Greek or Turkish. A Nazi spokesman said that the troops are the guests of Bulgaria. The British Minister, he said, could remain in Sofia undisturbed if he did not mind seeing German soldiers from his window.
