RED CROSS AT TAW A FLAT

A large and enthusiastic meeting of Town Flat and Linden residents was held recently. Mrs. Savage, who presided, introduced Sister Small, Wellington, who addressed the meeting. Sister Hodder was also present. The object of the meeting was to obtain a definite idea on organizing a Red Cross section to be part of the Coastal Towns’ Detachment. Sister Small's address was helpful and constructive, with the result that 32 new members joined. A group of 45 members from lawa Flat and Linden travelled to Porirua recently to take lectures and military drill, This was most encouraging, and the group promises to be strong and efficient.
