SHAPING CLOSER COLLABORATION
Australia And Dominion
MEETING MUTUAL PROBLEMS
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
DUNEDIN, March 3
Au indication that closer collaboration was pending between the Australian and New Zealand Governments in trade matters affected by the war, and in the general security of the Pacific, was given today by the Australian Assistant Treasurer and Minister of Commerce, Mr. Anthony. Mr. Anthony said his delegation was receiving every co-operation from New Zealand. It was important that the representatives of both countries should work in harmony to minimize the effects of any disorganization of their export trade. He expected his Visit to lead to the establishment of an organized method of collaboration upon all mutual problems. Referring to the war, Mr. Anthony said that the Pacific situation gave us no reason to believe that we would be left to live peaceably, and we must prepare now for any emergency.
