SEVERE STORM IN UNITED STATES
NEW YORK, March 2.
An unusual storm disrupted transcontinental short-wave and telegraph circuits yesterday. It is considered by experts to be the most severe storm since last April, and it is thought that sunspots were responsible. Many areas, including New York, were covered with a thick blanket of snow, which seriously impeded traffic, causing many accidents and 24 deaths. Some snowdrifts In New Jersey were six feet deep.
