“HITLER’S MISTAKE”
Giant Bomb As Money
Raiser
(British Official Wireless.)
(Received March 2, 7.30 p.m.) RUGBY, March 2.
Named “Hitler's Mistake,” a 12-foot bomb which failed to explode when dropped in an East Anglian town has proved a most efficient collector of money. Exhibited by A.R.P. workers, this bomb, which is one of the largest dropped in Britain, has raised nearly £3O daily for five days, and today thousands of people, some of whose homes might have been battered had the bomb exploded, queued up to see it. It is shortly being sent to help in a war weapons week.
