Major R. Q. F. Johnston Believed Prisoner Of War
Private advice has been received in Wellington that Major Robin Quentin Featherston Johnston, who was second in command of a battalion of the Durham Light Infantry, has been reported missing and is believed to be a prisoner of war.
Major Johnston is a son of Mr. Justice and Mrs. Johnston. He was educated at Wanganui Collegiate School, and after finishing his course there — shortly after the last war—he went to the Royal Artillery College at Sandhurst. He then obtained a regular commission in the Durham Light Infantry, and served with his regiment in peacetime in China and Egypt. lie was married while in England, and his wife and small daugther are now in Wellington.
