NEW TRIAL ORDERED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February 21. The unusual action of withdrawing a ease from the jury and ordering a new trial was taken by Mr. Justice Blair in the Supreme Court today, when defendant's counsel, in a divorce suit, complained that petitioner’s father hail been seen speaking to some of the jury. His Honour said that though the remarks to the jurymen might have boon inmx'ent, the fact that something had been said created a suspicion and he had no option but to discharge the jury ami order a new trial, granting 20 guineas costs to respondent.
