New Zealand’s Favourite.
My favourite hero was Cobber Kain: He was in N'o. -M-31 Squadron in the early days of the war. I wonder how many planes he would have shot down if he bad not been killed. He fought many battles in France and brought down more than 40 German planes. Tie himself was forced down twice, bitt managed to escape by parachute. “Cobber" Kain was one of the first airmen in this war to win a medal New Zealand people were very proud when they heard he bad won the It.F.C. Had he lived I think he would have gained many more.
