ESCAPED PRISONER
Still At Large After A Week Dominion Special Service. WANGANUI, February 21. John Henry Wilson, alias Gordon Cyril James, aged 28, who escaped while under the escort of a warder by jumping from a train near Ohakune at 2.45 a.m. last Friday, is still at large, but his movements have been traced. Inspector J. Dempsey said today that the police think there is reason to believe that he is now in the northern half of the North Island. Though there is no real news of his present whereabouts, his movements have been traced to Taranaki and back toward Hawke's Bay. When last seen lie was wearing a blue suit, a fugi silk shirt, am] black and white shoes. He is sft. lOjin. in height, with a fresh complexion, brown hair and blue eyes. Tlie .Mercury car which! was taken from Rnngataua on tlie night following his escape lias not been found. The number of Ihe car was 117.34.7. but it is thought ili.-ii this may have been changed.
