INDIAN ARMY RECRUITS
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, February 20. Asked in the House of Commons, if l.e could state the number of recruits tv the Indian Army who had volunteered from each province since the beginning of the war, the Secretary for India, Mr. Amery, gave the following ligures up to the end of September :—North-west Frontier Province, 5506: Punjab, -15,136; United Provinces, 12,227: Delhi, 406; Madras, 9898; Bombay, 7656; Bihar, 710: Centra) Province and Bergat, 899: Bengal, 113: Coorg, 42; Assam. 1; Baluchistan.
