Sine die adjournments were granted by the Wellington Armed Forces Appeal Board yesterday when applications for exemption from military -service were received from Carter'and Guise Ltd., brassfounders, on behalf of Lancelot William Andrew, brass finisher and fitter, and Kenwyn James Olney, moulder, on the grounds ol public interest and hardship. Mr. K. A. Falconer, who appeared for the company, said its work was mainly in .supplying fire-fighting equipment. It had contracts for the Air Department and the Army. Several members of the staff were already iu the forces. If tlie men for whom the company appealed were called up. essential work would be delayed.
