Grand Chapter Conference In Blenheim Dominion’ Special Service. BLENHEIM, February 20. More than 150 companions of the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of the Masonic Lodge of New Zealand will gather iu Blenheim on Saturday for the 49th annual convocation. The event is unique not only in the history of the town, but. also of the chapter itself, for it is the first time that the convocation lias been hold outside the four main centres, or one or other of tlie main provincial centres. Accommodation in Blenheim has been taxed to the limit to provide for the occasion. The hotels in tlie town are full.v booked, ami it. has been necessary for Blenheim officials to book’ accommodation at some of the nearer country hotels. The decision to hold the convocation in Blenheim was made at a meeting of Hie supreme committee at Auckland last October, and since then arrangements have been steadily proceeded witli. TTie convocation is of very great interest to Blenheim m that one of its leading citizens, Mr. C. A. Eckford. will bo installed in the highest oflice. First. Grand Principal, while among the grand officers to be installed will bo Mr. W. J. Girling, who will be invested :is Grand Super iiileiident of tin- Nel,sou and Marl borough district. T’lie convocation will meet in a business session on Saturd.-i.v morning, ami the ollieers will be invested in tin-even-ing. Entertainments for tlie visitors include :i tour of the Woodbourne Aerodrome and a picnic in Queen Uliarlelle Sound.
