SHARP EARTHQUAKE SHOCK

New Plymouth Alarm (By 'Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, February 20. The sharpest earthquake for several years awakened New Plymouth residents at 2.39 o’clock this morning. It lasted two minutes, reaching its peak 10 seconds after its commencement. It started as a severe jolt and developed into a steady tremor. No damage is reported, but some alarm was caused.
