THOROUGHBRED SALE

A thoroughbred sale was conducted at Hamilton on .Monday by Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd. The top price received was 2-15gns., paid by Mr. A. K. .Bowler, Auckland, for a two-year-old brown lilly by Foxbridge from Night Spi, offered on behalf of the Trelawney Stud, Cambridge. Mr. L. S. Otway, Cambridge, paid I7sgns. for Royal Mistake, a nine-year-old bay mure by Royal Divorce from Bradamante, with a colt foal by Baffles, and served by that sire, offered on behalf of Messrs. 11. D. and J. W. Crosby, Hamilton. A 13-year-old black mare, La Femme Noire, by Lueullus from Demoiselle, and served by Raceful, was sold at llOgns. to Mr. F. J. Savage, Waimana, the vendors being Messrs. Crosby. Other sales were as follows: —On account of Messrs. J. S. Kean and J.
