Work At Wingatui CYMRIC SHOWS PACE (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, February 19. Conditions at. Wingatui for the final gallops were perfect. The centre of the course proper, with trestles 30 feet out, provided excellent g(>i£g. The sand track was also in good order. Leighnor and Airline ran six furlongs on the course in 1.17 2-5, Leighnor finishing three lengths in front. Pleading, Winning Rival, and Bird of Prey were let off with easy tasks. Espionage and Palfrey finished on terms at the end of three furlongs in 39 3-5, King Gustavo ran six furlongs in I.IS 1-5. leeland Spar easily accounted for Alias over six furlongs in 1.19, the last three in 42. The most interesting gallop was on the sand, when Royal Chief and Trench Fight were sent over seven furlongs. Trench Fight set the pace, and after running the first half-mile in 49 3-5 they completed the full distance in 1.2 S 2-5. When half of the journey was covered Trench Fight appeared to be pulling hard. Doria was not allowed to do her best in recording 51 for half a mile. Wardress was sent a mile in 1.47 2-5, galloping well over the final stages. Cymric ran the last live of six furlongs on the sand in 1.1 4-5, easily the best gallop. Gay Parade and Schoolgirl were sent six furlongs, completing the task in 1.17 3-5, with Gay Parade finishing best.

Dash o’ Dublin and Solerity were sprinted two furlongs next to the rails, the former having a slight advantage at the post in 25.
