Deception Of Constable
(By Telegraph—Press Association. I AUCKLAND. February 19.
Matthew Patrick Byrne, aged 39, seaman, appeared before Mr. Molding, S.M., in tile Magistrates' Court today on a charge of deceiving a constable by pretending lie was in possession of a crew pass for a ship berthed at Auckland.
In imposing seven days' imprisonment, Mr. Moiling said the regulations were too important to be played fast and loose with.
