BOYS COST MORE TO FEED THAN GIRLS
Dominion Special Service. NAPIER, February 19. The fact that it costs 50 to 60 per cent, more to feed boys than girls, was mentioned at the monthly meeting of the Napier Secondary Education Board, whei Mr. C. W. Nash, speaking of figures in the balance-sheet of the hostels at th’ Napier Boys’ and Girls High School, said the boys were costing Go per cent, more than the girls* . _ Other members w ho had informatio of similar institutions said that it was always found that 'boys ate twice as much as girls. ..f The board discussed the suitability 01 uniforms worn by the boys, it being con- , tended that for summer wear a complete khaki uniform could be bought tor the cost of the present blue, shirt.
