RUGBY, February 17.
Heads of Liverpool’s civil defence services and of business firms saw an incendiary bomb extinguished by •' grey-coloured powder at a demonstration at Liverpool Fire Brigade headquarters. All other known methods have the effect of merely controlling tlie bomb. Tlie powder is of the ty[xthat has been used with good effect for three years in large Government factories in Britain and in other parts of the Empire. Officials of lite manufacturing firm poured a fine grey powder on a bomb while it was spurting molten fire in all directions, immediately the flames changed front a brilliant flash-white tn tlie yellow and red of tin ordinary tire. Within live minutes tlie Hames were out.
